Nora Roberts.... A.K.A. J.D Robb's In Death Series is excellent. The whole series has the same main characters which makes the series even better. Eve, Rourke, Peabody, McNabb, Feeney, Mavis, and Nadine just to name a few.
The series is set in the future which makes it very interesting. Detective Eve Dallas is married to billionaire Rourke and lives in a mansion. Besides being a detective, she must be a supportive wife and attend charity functions and such for Rourke. Each book is a different case. Her sidekick Peabody always has Eve's back. They make an excellent team. Eve doesn't let people in easily, but she cares about her friends in her own way.
Eve speaks her mind. She is tough and ruthless no matter what.
When Eve needs help or is frustrated, she turns to Rourke for help. Rourke has unregistered equipment and can do more than the e-guys some of the time.
If you are into mysteries, with a hint of some spice, this is the series for you.
